In 2021, SVP Seattle reimagined our work with the goal of advancing racial justice in philanthropy.
We set out three big goals:
- Practice racially JUST philanthropy
- Build authentic and meaningful relationships between a large and diverse group of donors, volunteers, and community organizations
- Be visible, active advocates for change
Two years in, SVP Seattle’s Reimagined Vision has guided us to develop new grantmaking practices, support ten Black, Indigenous, and People of Color-led organizations doing amazing work across our region, build new ways of engaging our community of Partners in equity-centered learning and meaningful action, take the lead on cross-community philanthropic partnership, and grow a richer, more diverse community of Partners.
