Sharon has over 15 years of experience working in the environmental movement with a particular focus on chemical policy reform. Sharon’s interest areas for activism include growing the electorate, increasing our shared prosperity, and environmental justice. She currently serves on both state based as well as national philanthropic and political action boards (Progress Alliance of Washington, Washington Conservation Voters, and Donors of Color Network) in addition to WDN. An engineer by training, she has a Computer Science Engineering degree from Princeton University and worked at Microsoft in software development for 12 years.
Today Sharon is an independent consultant and lives in Seattle with her husband Peter and three kids. When she is not pushing to make the world a better place, she enjoys swimming in open water and spending time armed with a camera capturing the beauty of this world
