The Southeast Seattle Education Coalition (SESEC) is a collective of community organizations, leaders, and allies working to ensure educational equity for all students in Southeast Seattle. Their mission is to dismantle barriers to educational access and foster an inclusive, high-quality education for historically underserved communities. They advocate for equitable policies, provide critical resources, and work with local partners to make systemic changes in schools.
About the Opportunity:
SESEC is seeking volunteer support to strengthen their donor engagement and stewardship. Volunteers will help:
- Donor Engagement & Stewardship: Assist in crafting personalized outreach to individual donors, expressing gratitude and sharing the impact of their support.
- Develop Donor Relationships: Help deepen relationships with existing donors by keeping them informed about SESEC’s work and achievements through regular updates, events, and communications.
- Prospect Research: Help identify and research potential individual donors who share our mission for educational equity.
- Campaign Support: Contribute to donor-focused campaigns, such as annual giving or online fundraising efforts, to engage new supporters.
- Event Planning & Engagement: Support donor-related events (virtual or in-person) aimed at building connections, fostering community, and showcasing the impact of donations.
What SESEC is Looking for:
Individuals with a passion for storytelling, fundraising, and relationship-building are encouraged to apply. Experience with donor databases, Mailchimp, or similar tools is a plus, but not required.
