Advocacy in Action – SVP’s Legislative Session Kick-Off

SVP has taken on a new initiative – advocating for economic justice and poverty alleviation in our state! This is the natural outcome of our journey to include meaningfully in advocacy in our work. We have an important and unique voice, as philanthropists focused on racial justice, to bring to the collation of organizations advocating for bills that address aspects of our regressive tax code in our state.
Join us for our 2024 Washington State Legislature kick-off! During the kick-off, you’ll meet other volunteers, gain resources and talking points behind the bills we will advocate for, understand the timeline for getting bills passed, craft your “story” so you can easily compose and/or deliver testimony, and be part of the change. Together, we can bring the vision to alleviate poverty and wealth inequality to reality.
