This online training is an opportunity to truly understand how school districts are funded in Washington State—and why it matters for our kids. Facilitated by Mary Fertakis, the training is offered in two parts. Part 1 January 27th at 5:30 to 7pm, part 2 January 29th from 5:30 to 7pm. Both will be held via Zoom.
In the first session, we’ll break down the school funding system so participants can gain a clear, accessible understanding of how the model works and where decisions are made. In the second session, we’ll shift from learning to action—exploring how we, as a community, can advocate, push back, and work collectively to ensure these systems better serve and support our children.
This is about knowledge, empowerment, and using our voices to create a more equitable future for students and families.
