Imagine a future
led by community

The time for community-led change is now. The need to support leaders at the forefront of change has never been more urgent, as our region faces significant challenges from health equity to climate justice, and beyond.
Community-led solutions are the best solutions and work to eliminate inequity using local and culturally specific knowledge. SVP Seattle is bringing people together to support on-the-ground impact.

Who We Are

We are a cross-race, cross-class, cross-cultural community that gives, volunteers, learns and acts together to create a just and equitable King County.

What we do

Community-Led Solutions

We build the capacity of community-led nonprofits

More than Money

We make it possible for everyone to be a part of collective giving and aligned volunteerism and advocacy

Future of Philanthropy

We are creating an inclusive model of giving where anyone who wants to practice philanthropy is invited to participate.

“We saw immediately that the support SVP provided us would be important, but we didn’t realize at the start how transformative the partnership would be, especially when it came to putting systems in place that set us up for long-term sustainability.”

Michael Tulee, United Indians of All Tribes Foundation

Reimagine with us

SVP Seattle was founded in 1997 to create new opportunities for people to give to exciting social ventures. Now, more than two decades later, it’s time to reimagine our work to put communities at the center and open philanthropy up to everyone. SVP Seattle is a small but mighty organization that has an amazing impact with a fresh and relationship-based approach to helping connect community leaders with community resources. But with only two full-time staff, the organization is at an inflection point: to scale programming and increase funding to BIPOC-led and -serving nonprofits, we need to raise funds for a sustainable and future-stable SVP Seattle.

Community-Led Solutions

by creating a community open to all who want to develop their giving practices towards justice and equity.

More than Money

to invest and support more under-resourced local BIPOC-led and serving initiatives that are advancing climate justice, health equity, wealth equity, and education equity.

Future of Philanthropy

programs to create more equitable and effective relationships with BIPOC-led and serving non-profits.

“Despite increased support in recent years, BIPOC-led and -serving nonprofits still receive a disproportionately small share of funding and struggle to secure the support necessary for growth and sustainability. SVP Seattle is changing this narrative by reimagining philanthropy and building a future where every community has the power and resources to drive transformative change.”
