Robert A. White is a 20-year Army veteran that currently serves as the VP of Internal Relations for Minority Veterans of America (MVA), which is dedicated to changing the narrative of the American military veteran. MVA does this through building communities around the unique identities that veterans hold, outside of their identity as a military servicemember. The primary underrepresented groups that MVA serves are: veterans of color, womxn, LGBTQ, and religious and non-religious minorities.
Prior to joining MVA, Robert was the Chief Executive Officer of VETTED, an Austin based veteran startup nonprofit. VETTED assisted high-performance veterans in their transition into corporate careers and entrepreneurship through an accelerated management program at top MBA schools. While at VETTED, he designed and launched the flagship program, secured two years of corporate and grant funding, and scaled the program nationally within the second year of operations.
Robert has dedicated his life to helping others and continues to do so by building strategic partnerships among nonprofits, the private sector, and government agencies to increase awareness and advocate social equity and justice for underrepresented communities.
Robert earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Excelsior College and is a 2019 Executive Master of Public Administration candidate at the University of Washington’s Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.
