Spring 2023 Book Club: Of Blood and Sweat (May 2)

We’ll be reading Clyde W. Ford’s new book, Of Blood And Sweat: Black Lives And The Making Of White Power And Wealth. His book provides a compelling look at the past and its broad implications for present-day calls for racial equity, justice, and the abolishment of systemic racism.
This group will meet online four times total, February 23, March 21, April 18, and May 2 from 12:00-1:00 PM.
- February 23 Please read the Introduction and chapters 1 through 4
- March 21: Please read chapters 5 through 8
- April 18: Please read chapters 9 though 12
- May 2: Please read chapters 13 through 16 and the Afterword
Everyone is welcome to join the book club regardless of whether they have been able to read the assigned content.
