Activate your political power and join Children’s Alliance at Have a Heart for Kids Day in Olympia! Together with child advocates from across Washington, you will learn about the political process, speak directly with your elected representatives, and raise your voices at a powerful rally on the Capitol steps.
Children and families are welcome! Boxed lunches will be provided.
Event Schedule:

9:00 -10:00 a.m. – Check-in and sign-making (United Churches of Olympia)

10:00 -11:00 a.m. – Advocacy trainings (two optional 30-minute sessions) and lunch pick-up

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Legislator meetings and free time for lunch or exploring the Capitol (Washington State Capitol Campus)

2:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Rally at the Capitol Building north steps with guest speakers and partners
This event will be primarily in-person with some potential virtual legislator meetings.
Note: The morning location is about an 8-minute walk away from the afternoon location at the state capitol. Please plan to walk or provide your own transportation. There is limited parking at the United Churches location that will be reserved for people with accessibility needs. Parking and bus information for the state capitol can be found here.
