It is a community-centered space designed for honest dialogue\, shared accountability\, and transparency between young people\, families\, educators\, and decision makers. Building on last year’s conversations held at Rainier Beach High School\, this year’s gathering continues the dialogue in community spaces—nearly a full school year after the election—to reflect on progress\, challenges\, and next steps for Seattle’s education system. \nAttendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with leaders\, ask questions about decisions affecting schools\, and share feedback on what progress has been made so far. DESCRIPTION:Join Basilica Bio for the Queer Ecology Social\, a free community workshop exploring queer ecology through hands-on making\, creative reflection\, and ecological connection. This gathering invites participants to slow down\, engage with the natural world\, and consider how care\, relationship\, and interdependence shape our understanding of ecosystems. \nThe workshop will begin with a short introduction to queer ecology\, followed by a seed paper-making activity using recycled materials. Participants will also engage in a reflective writing exercise\, creating ecological love letters addressed to meaningful places or ecosystems. Through making and reflection\, the event offers space to explore connection\, belonging\, and environmental care in community. \nParticipants will leave with handmade seed paper\, a queer ecology zine\, an ecological love letter\, and instructions for planting and care.
