DESCRIPTION:If you’re interested in running for a school board\, come join this talk put on by former SVP grantee\, Southeast Seattle Education Coalition. This workshop is designed to provide potential candidates with practical tips and real-world experiences to navigate the school board election process. Learn about the responsibilities\, challenges\, and opportunities of serving on the school board\, and gain valuable insights on how to run an impactful campaign. Whether you’re considering running or just curious about the process\, this session will equip you with the knowledge to take the next step in serving your community. \nPanel Guests: \n\nAaron Garcia\, Highline Public School Board\nKorey Strozier\, President\, Tacoma Public School Board\nBrandon Hersey\, D7 Seattle Public School Board\nStephan Blanford\, former Seattle Public School Board\n\n\n\nFor Access Into Event Space: \nThe main and south entrance have stairs. The north side of the building has a wheelchair accessible entrance and elevator to the tech lab on the 3rd floor (#310). South Entrance is access through the Plaza\, you can also enter through the parking lot side (North Entrance) basement level floor.\n\n\nParking Recommendations:\n\n\n\nParking is limited and restricted to 2 hours\, we encourage guests to take the Link Light Rail if possible. Street Parking is available throughout the region adjacent to El Centro De La Raza.
