SUMMARY:Spring Spotlight Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join the SVP Seattle community over beverages and appetizers to celebrate our graduating Grantees\, United Indians of All Tribes\, and Washington Building Leaders of Change. We’ll also hear a keynote from Microsoft’s Amy Liu\, sharing her insights on the future of sustainable urban development. In that role\, she helps lead Microsoft’s Affordable Housing initiative and also oversees philanthropic grants in Washington State. Amy’s career has spanned many industries and types of organizations\, including the public\, private and non-profit sectors. Amy is a recovering attorney with a wide range of work experiences\, including working in an urban school district\, the mortgage finance industry\, law firms\, a Presidential campaign\, and a statewide education advocacy organization. She is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan with both her undergraduate and law degrees. Native American artists were selected through a national competition to create a group of works representative of contemporary India and Alaskan Native art from over 360 tribes in North America. Enjoy hearing about the art collection from one of United Indians staff\, Jose.
