At this virtual event you’ll hear directly from Representative Steve Bergquist\, Senator Noel Frame\, and Children’s Alliance policy staff about the legislation we’re pursuing in 2026 and how you can use your power to advocate for the policies and programs that matter to you. \nAbout our speakers: \nRepresentative Steve Bergquist is a public school teacher who has also been a small business owner. Living in Renton\, he’s a proud fourth-generation resident of the 11th Legislative District. He’s currently a member of the Appropriations\, Early Learning & Human Services (Chair)\, and Education committees\, serves as Co-Chair of the Joint Higher Education Committee\, and is a member of the DCYF Oversight Board. His priorities include helping working families and small businesses recover from the pandemic\, and ensuring students and educators — from K-12 to higher education — have the support they need. \nSenator Noel Frame is an award-winning legislator\, who has been honored more than 15 times for her work advocating for youth in foster care and juvenile justice systems\, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges\, economic development\, and fixing the state’s upside-down tax code.
